Tescos Bag Packing

E-mail Print PDF

The u13's Sheffield have organised a second bag packing day on Saturday 29th May at Tesco Wath. Your team managers are all aware of this date and should have hopefully arranged a time slot for your team to attend. If any parents or players are not aware of your time slot please contact your manager or alternativley contact Mandy Pugh via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

With a good turnout from the club hopes are high that moneys raised added to our previous day's total will enable the club to purchase training tops for all our playing members.

OLYMPIC STADIUM BID BY WATH ST JAMES

E-mail Print PDF

Following news today that we will once again struggle to access pitch facilities this coming season Wath St James treasurer John Welsh has announced the clubs intention to bid for the use of the Olympic Stadium.

Speaking to Coal Dust FM he stated " I am sick of southern softies and people with funny shaped balls getting all the support whilst we receive no assistance and are expected to play the equivalent of around 90 games a season on three pitch's. If West Ham can bid for it so can we - we have more money than them and are better run."

He also indicated that if the bid were to fail the club would turn its attention to other pieces of grass on which football was no longer played - Hillsborough, Bramall Lane and Elland Road are all thought to be targets.

POSITIONS VACANT

E-mail Print PDF

A number of volunteer positions will become available this close season, most important of which is that of Club Secretary. After two seasons in the post Glynn Thomas has decided to resign and this now creates a vacancy that needs to be filled quickly, as the position is most busy during the close season.

The secretary is supported by the Club committee and positions may well be vacant on this committee, interested candidates should make themselves known to the current committee before the Club AGM - due late May.

The club can not operate without these positions being filled and the volunteers acting to take the club forward. All parents considering this should be aware that without an active and enthusiastic committee the Club will fold.

Applicants to all roles within the club should be or prepared to be assessed for CRB approval.
